User Experience Designer SME – Mississauga

About the role

The User Experience Designer SME will provide advisory expertise for inclusive, user‑centered digital services built on Microsoft Power Pages. Working with the OPGT project team, you will help design, configure and optimise public‑facing self‑service portals for Ontario government digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on user‑centered design methodologies, usability principles and accessibility standards for public portals.
• Design navigation, information architecture and content organization to improve findability and task efficiency.
• Conduct user experience assessments and recommend improvements to workflows and digital interactions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with Government of Ontario digital service requirements.
• Support implementation, testing and transition activities for delivered solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of Information Technology experience, including UX design.
• Located within commuting distance of Ottawa or willing to relocate to Mississauga.
• Authorized to work in Canada without employer‑based visa sponsorship.
