Junior Interior Designer

About the role

Our Toronto studio is looking for a highly motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our Interiors Practice focusing on corporate workspace design. The role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment within a global, award‑winning firm.

Key responsibilities

• Produce compelling proposals and presentations with the design team.
• Accompany senior colleagues to client meetings and act as an effective presenter.
• Develop space planning solutions that meet program requirements and building codes.
• Create 2D and 3D design concepts with high‑quality renderings.
• Research, recommend and present finishes and furnishings that align with functional, aesthetic, environmental and budgetary goals.
• Prepare documentation for selection, specification, procurement and installation of furnishings and equipment.
• Aid in the production of design development and contract documents (plans, elevations, sections, schedules) using REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Assist with permit and tender applications as required.

Required profile

• A degree or diploma from a CIDA‑accredited Interior Design program.
• Up to 3 years of experience with a recognized interior design or architectural firm.
• Membership with ARIDO or another relevant regulatory body.
• Working towards NCIDQ and LEED Green Associate certifications.
• Strong portfolio of workplace projects.
• Proven involvement in the interior design community through volunteer work or professional events.
• Self‑directed, able to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
