About the role

The Thrift Shop Associate works in MCC BC’s Kelowna Thrift Shop, supporting both back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house operations. This part‑time position helps process donated items, maintain the retail floor, and provide friendly service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort, price, and stage donated merchandise.
• Organize and tidy the warehouse and retail floor.
• Handle cash transactions and provide customer service.
• Stock inventory, assist with merchandising and visual displays.
• Collaborate with volunteers, colleagues, and shop leaders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated personal Christian faith and active participation in a church or Christian community.
• Commitment to non‑violent peacemaking and MCC’s code of conduct.
• Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, donors, and customers.
• Willingness to attend devotional and prayer times as part of the workplace culture.
