Full-Time Assistant Manager – Retail

At Hot Topic we are passionate about music, pop culture and delivering an amazing in‑store experience. We are looking for a Full‑Time Assistant Manager to help lead the loudest store in the mall, support the Store Manager in meeting sales targets and build lasting relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales plans and comparable sales goals.
• Recruit, develop and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
• Promote new products and engage customers through social media, BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Oversee operational tasks such as shrink/loss prevention, payroll, and associate scheduling.
• Communicate trends and customer feedback with retail leadership and headquarters.
• Analyze sales reports and use data to guide strategies for hitting targets.
• Merchandise the store according to planograms and launch promotions on schedule.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting and operational skills (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising).
• High school diploma or GED; a degree is a plus.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑changing retail environment.
• Physical capability to handle merchandise up to 50 lb and perform store duties.
