Third Cook

About the role

Join the crew of M/V Saga as a Third Cook, responsible for planning menus, preparing meals and supporting the onboard kitchen operations in a fast‑paced maritime environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for shipboard service.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including special meals for patients and customers with allergies or intolerances.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Organize buffets and banquets and keep kitchen and work areas clean.

Required profile

• 1–2 years experience as a cook in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, stand for long periods and pay close attention to detail.
• Flexibility, reliability, teamwork and good time‑management.
