Cook Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Cook Supervisor to lead our kitchen team at Unique Slow Rise Bakery & Cafe in Squamish. The role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring quality standards, and training staff to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
• Ensure food and service meet quality control standards.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
• Supervise and check assembly of trays.

Required profile

• Excellent oral communication and teamwork.
• Initiative, dependability, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods.

Required skills

• Food Safety certification.
• Experience preparing Dim Sum cuisine.
