Temporary Part‑time Custodian (17 hrs/week) – Osprey Central School

About the role

This temporary part‑time custodian position supports Osprey Central School’s facilities, working 17 hours per week on an afternoon shift starting at 3:30 p.m. The role includes servicing portable classrooms and may conclude earlier if the incumbent returns.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all custodial and Board policies and procedures.
• Complete assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Report repairs, security breaches, and equipment failures to the Head or Assistant Head Custodian.
• Perform equipment checks, minor maintenance, and repairs.
• Manage stock materials, receive deliveries, and draw supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with community‑education partners to ensure smooth event operations.
• Perform any additional custodial duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical work (lifting, bending, pushing, pulling).
• Access to technology and the Internet.
• Compliance with CUPE Local 1176 collective agreement articles.
• Willingness to obtain or already hold a Well Water Training Certificate.
