Temporary FUN Coordinator (4-Month Contract)

About the role

S&R Seniors Living is looking for a FUN Coordinator for a temporary 4-month contract covering a maternity leave. You will design and lead engaging activities, events and volunteer programs that bring joy and connection to residents' daily lives, in a hands-on role where creativity directly boosts engagement and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Design a creative and exciting activities program that meets the individual needs and interests of residents, including a monthly activities calendar
• Implement programmed activities and monitor resident participation rates, encouraging attendance
• Supervise and retain volunteers
• Coordinate the transportation of residents to and from events outside the residence
• Oversee seasonal celebrations and support in-service participation, meetings and committees
• Communicate the programs and processes needed to achieve department goals
• Build relationships with other professionals, community partners and organizations
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Educational background and/or experience in recreation, activation or a related field
• Experience in hospitality and event planning
• Strong customer service skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Enthusiastic and creative personality

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of recreational programming and techniques
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
