Temporary Full-Time Registered Nurse – Medical Inpatient Unit

About the role

The Medical Inpatient Unit at Ross Memorial Hospital is seeking a Temporary Full‑Time Registered Nurse to provide acute‑care nursing for patients with cardiac, respiratory and metabolic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adults admitted with acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, COPD, diabetes and pneumonia.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, manage IV therapy and respond to cardiac rhythm changes.
• Educate patients and families about disease management and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while adhering to the Total Care Model and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Current BCLS and IV certifications.
• Coronary Care Level 1 (post‑graduate) or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Post‑graduate Physical Assessment training.
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills (tested).
• Minimum three years of acute medical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, communication, teamwork and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Commitment to continuous learning, CNO quality‑assurance participation and professional standards.

Required skills

• Hourly wage ranging from $41.15 to $58.98 CAD.
• Temporary contract from 03 June 2026 to 31 May 2028.
