Team Lead

About the role

As a Team Lead at Activate’s Pickering location, you will drive an energetic in‑store experience, ensuring every customer interaction is smooth and memorable. Reporting to the Store Leader, you will coach Game Facilitators, handle escalations, and keep the venue operating flawlessly.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phones and emails, troubleshoot booking issues, and secure reservations.
• Perform check‑in overrides, manage daily cash‑out sheets, process invoices and payments.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate complex cases to the Store Leader.
• Communicate room status and facility updates to staff and guests.
• Train new employees, delegate tasks, and motivate the team throughout each shift.
• Maintain inventory, track maintenance needs, and coordinate cleaning or repairs.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate supply requirements to the Store Leader.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a similar customer‑facing or retail leadership role (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Availability to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
