About the role
The Department of Philosophy at McGill University is hiring graduate teaching assistants for the Fall 2026 term. These positions support undergraduate philosophy courses by facilitating small‑group discussions, grading assignments, and assisting with course administration.
Key responsibilities
- Host and facilitate discussion sections for assigned philosophy courses.
- Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback.
- Attend lectures, read course materials, and stay informed about course content.
- Communicate with students through the MyCourses platform regarding assignments, submissions, and course updates.
Required profile
- Registered graduate student (MA or PhD) at McGill University for the Fall 2026 term.
- Relevant academic background in philosophy, with prior study in the specific course subject.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to engage with diverse student groups.
