About the role
The Tax Recovery Officer supports the Canada Revenue Agency in collecting outstanding taxes and ensuring compliance with tax legislation. This entry‑level position offers full training and a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and review unpaid tax accounts using internal systems.
- Contact taxpayers to explain obligations and arrange payment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of communications and payments.
- Assist senior officers with audits and compliance investigations.
- Prepare reports on recovery activities and outcomes.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) required.
- No prior experience needed; willingness to learn and be trained.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English (French optional).
