About the role
We are seeking a Tax Manager to join a multinational leader in the renewable‑energy sector. The role focuses on Canadian corporate tax compliance, green tax incentives, and financial reporting, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare schedules and working papers for tax preparation, estimated payments, extensions and utility taxes.
- Prepare specific Canadian tax returns and maintain the thin‑capitalisation model.
- Collaborate with development teams to analyse and apply appropriate green tax incentives for each project.
- Gather and analyse financial information for internal and external reporting.
- Produce SAP accounting system reports for tax expense, taxes due, income tax returns, VAT, excise taxes and related filings.
- Ensure compliance with tax policies and procedures.
- Analyse and respond to notices from taxing authorities across Canada.
- Manage Canadian tax audits in various jurisdictions.
- Liaise with external government agencies as required.
- Research relevant tax topics and contribute to special tax projects.
Required profile
- Fluency in French to operate in a French‑speaking work environment.
- Five or more years of progressive experience in Canadian corporate tax.
- CPA designation (Canadian or international) is an asset.
- Experience in the renewable‑energy sector, especially wind or solar, is preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP FI is preferred.
