Senior Actuarial Analyst – Commercial Insurance

About the role

Zurich Canada is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join its Commercial Business unit. Reporting to the VP & Actuarial Director, you will shape pricing and portfolio strategies for the company’s commercial insurance business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop pricing insights and recommendations that support profitable growth across Zurich Canada's Commercial Insurance portfolios.
• Analyze portfolio performance, identify emerging trends, and help drive portfolio management strategies.
• Build, enhance, and maintain actuarial pricing models, rating structures, and analytical tools.
• Partner with underwriters and technical underwriting teams to deliver pricing solutions for new and renewal business.
• Support strategic initiatives including pricing transformation, segmentation, and modernization of underwriting capabilities.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences or related technical field.
• Progress toward ACAS designation (typically 5+ exams completed) or equivalent actuarial qualification.
• At least 3 years of actuarial experience, preferably in P&C pricing.
