Tax Analyst – Personal & Corporate Tax (Toronto)

About the role

Our client, an independent wealth management firm with offices across Canada, is looking for a Tax Analyst to join its Toronto team. The role focuses on personal tax preparation and compliance while offering exposure to corporate tax work and tax planning within a collaborative, client‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal income tax returns (T1) for high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Assist in the preparation of corporate income tax returns (T2) for owner‑managed businesses.
• Support tax compliance and filing requirements for clients.
• Conduct tax research and identify planning opportunities.
• Communicate with clients and respond to tax‑related inquiries.
• Collaborate with advisors, planners, and portfolio management professionals.
• Stay up‑to‑date with Canadian tax legislation and regulatory changes.
• Participate in various tax projects and client engagements as needed.

Required profile

• Approximately 3‑4 years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Strong experience preparing T1 personal tax returns.
• Exposure to T2 corporate tax returns is an asset.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA completion is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client‑focused environment.
