Tax Advisor & Preparer (Hybrid, Travel Required)

About the role

FBC is seeking a Tax Advisor & Preparer to work directly with members across Ontario. The role combines tax preparation, strategic planning, and client relationship management, with a hybrid schedule that includes travel to member locations and occasional visits to the London office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate tax and accounting advice to members.
• Gather member information and complete T1 and T2 tax returns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships, encouraging referrals and long‑term engagement.
• Identify member needs and connect them with other specialists within the firm.
• Maintain precise records of all member interactions and services provided.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a tax preparation or accounting firm.
• Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software (Taxprep, Xero; iFirm knowledge is a plus).
• Experience preparing tax returns for farms, small businesses, and corporate entities.
• Strong client service and relationship‑building abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence, vehicle registration, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel daily to urban and remote locations.
