About the role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will lead full‑cycle recruitment for high‑volume craft, HSE, administrative, QC and skilled‑trade positions supporting large industrial turnarounds. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Workforce Planning, you will ensure project sites are staffed safely, efficiently and on schedule while delivering an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring teams.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct end‑to‑end recruitment for HSE, administrative, QC and skilled‑trade roles across multi‑disciplinary, high‑volume projects.
- Partner with operations and site leadership to plan and execute large‑scale turnaround workforce ramp‑ups, mobilising several hundred employees.
- Participate in forecasting and workforce‑planning activities, adjusting sourcing strategies to meet projected demand.
- Create accurate job postings in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Source, screen and interview candidates, ensuring compliance with project safety and qualification standards.
- Manage pre‑employment requirements such as drug/alcohol screening and certifications.
- Maintain candidate pipelines and documentation within the ATS, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with onboarding and mobilisation teams for seamless site deployment.
- Track staffing records, seniority data and attend regular planning meetings with business leaders.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
- RPR designation is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience recruiting high‑volume trades, preferably on large industrial or turnaround projects.
- Proven experience hiring across craft, HSE, QC, administrative and coordinator roles.
- Strong understanding of industrial workforce operations, safety and site logistics.
- Familiarity with construction, oil & gas or heavy‑industrial environments.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and site compliance requirements.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a complex Applicant Tracking System (e.g., Tracker).
