Chief People Officer (Executive Leadership)

About the role

The Chief People Officer (CPO) will join the Executive Leadership Team of Edmonton International Airport (YEG) to shape people, culture, talent and organisational effectiveness as the airport expands its infrastructure and services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic workforce plan aligned with YEG’s growth and operational priorities.
• Lead talent acquisition, development, and succession planning for a complex, service‑oriented environment.
• Partner with senior leaders and the Board to advise on people‑related decisions and organisational design.
• Foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture that supports safety, innovation and exceptional customer experience.
• Oversee employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior HR leader in a consumer‑focused, operationally intensive organisation.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic objectives into practical talent initiatives.
• Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills, comfortable advising C‑suite and Board members.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complexity, balance competing priorities and drive measurable results.
