Supplier Quality & Food Safety Manager

About the role

The Supplier Quality and Food Safety Manager leads the quality and safety programs for ingredients and packaging materials, ensuring that all supplies meet Lactalis’ standards and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with procurement, R&D, legal, and the food safety team to protect product integrity and consumer trust.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supplier selection, validation, and performance improvement programs.
• Create standardized workflows, documents, KPIs, and communication plans for quality and food safety.
• Implement "no spec no buy" and "no spec no prod" policies and support digital tool integration.
• Represent the Quality and Food Safety team in procurement meetings and train stakeholders on new processes.
• Monitor emerging risks, including food fraud, and coordinate risk assessments with relevant functions.
• Collect supplier information, perform risk assessments, and conduct audits when necessary.
• Advise leadership on supplier portfolio weaknesses and guide mitigation plans.
• Approve new suppliers once risks are controlled and ensure sustainable, compliant material supply.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supplier quality management and food safety within the dairy or food industry.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks, gaps, and corrective actions.
• Ability to collaborate across procurement, R&D, legal, and operations.
• Excellent communication and training capabilities.
