Structural Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to deliver comprehensive structural solutions for new and existing institutional, commercial and residential projects across Ontario. The role spans concept development, detailed design, evaluation of existing structures and construction support, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for new construction, renovations and restoration projects using industry‑standard software.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, reports, specifications and evaluation documents.
• Conduct site reviews, contract administration inspections and provide guidance during construction.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure project success and budget alignment.
• Support junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the firm.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a structural engineering firm, preferably with institutional, commercial and residential projects.
• Registered or actively pursuing registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation for occasional travel within Canada.

Required skills

• S‑Frame, ETABS, spSlab structural design software.
• AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and modeling.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
