Storekeeper – Rotational Vessel Role

About the role

The Storekeeper will manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of food, supplies, chemicals, and other operational stock aboard the MV Isabelle X/Saga vessels. This is a hands‑on, rotational position based out of Squamish, BC, with a three‑year schedule and the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries of fresh, frozen, refrigerated, dry goods, beverages, cleaning supplies, chemicals, and disposables.
• Verify quantities, weights, packaging condition, expiry dates, and product quality against purchase orders and invoices.
• Label, stage, and direct items to appropriate storage areas, ensuring prompt transfer of temperature‑controlled goods.
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material‑handling equipment to move pallets, carts, and bins safely.
• Maintain clear aisles, safe walkways, and properly stacked storage zones.
• Record all transactions accurately and report shortages, damages, or temperature concerns to the kitchen leadership.

Required profile

• Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to 25 kg and handling pallets regularly.
• Strong attention to food‑safety standards, inventory accuracy, and product rotation.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, maritime environment and follow HSE procedures.
