Staff Development & Operations Manager (Commissioned)

About the role

Power to Change (P2C) is looking for a Staff Development & Operations Manager (commissioned, full-time) based at its Langley, British Columbia headquarters. The role reports to the Chief Operations Officer and combines an HR function with staff development and care, working alongside the COO and operations team and in coordination with P2C HR.

Key responsibilities

• Support staff on the Ministry Partner Development (MPD) path through coaching, monthly MPD breakfasts and ongoing dialogue
• Onboard new staff effectively and run yearly staff retreats and team days
• Act as hiring manager, recruiting and hiring together with P2C HR
• Handle HR requests and needs confidentially and professionally
• Use the Birkman assessment and other resources to strengthen the staff team
• Facilitate bi-weekly staff meetings, weekly prayer meetings and monthly praise celebrations, including remote staff
• Process the 7% monthly transfers accurately and on time, and report quarterly ministry statistics
• Manage event contracts for fundraising and team events and give administrative support to the operations team

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience in a relief and development ministry or related international development setting
• A passionate, mature and disciplined Christian life, with a pre-existing belief and lifestyle consistent with the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith
• Able to travel internationally and hold or obtain a valid passport
• Criminal record check and vulnerable sector search required because the work involves children in an international context
