Mobilization Manager (Commissioned)

About the role

Global Aid Network Canada (GAiN) is looking for a full-time, commissioned Mobilization Manager, based at the National Resource Center in Abbotsford or remotely. The role gives leadership to the mobilization of volunteers, both for international LIFE Team Projects and for national volunteers in Canada, and builds a strategy for volunteer mobilization across Canada. It reports to the GAiN Chief Operation Officer and is funded through Ministry Partner Development.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit new volunteers for Canada and international LIFE Teams, manage and grow the volunteer database, and develop recruitment materials with Donor Advancement
• Process team member applications, prepare annual budgets and LIFE team calendars, manage field budgets and reconcile them, and maintain training and operation manuals for LIFE teams
• Develop a national strategic plan for engaging volunteers in Canada and facilitate Canadian opportunities and LIFE Teams, including regular communication with participants and in-country partners
• Take part in weekly chapel and prayer/bible study times, and carry out special projects assigned by the COO or Lead Team

Required profile

• Deep, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and adherence to the P2C Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct
• At least one year of post-secondary education; a Bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential
• At least one to two years of relief and development ministry or related ministry/industry experience
• Able to travel internationally with a valid passport and work in cross-cultural settings
• Criminal record check and vulnerable sector search required because the work involves children in an international context
