Staff Accountant

About the role

The Staff Accountant supports the finance department by ensuring accurate preparation, maintenance, and reporting of financial records. This position plays a key part in maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards while contributing to the efficiency of financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes on time and accurately.
• Prepare consolidated financial reporting packages for headquarters.
• Support audit activities by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Post recurring journal entries, including amortization, depreciation, payroll, and lease accounting.
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash management, and complex account reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, manage additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Develop and uphold internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure reliable reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and remediate control deficiencies.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and provide project support as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least one year of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with HFM reporting or similar financial consolidation tools.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
