Specimen Processing Lab Assistant

About the role

Dynacare is seeking a Specimen Processing Lab Assistant to join its Brampton laboratory. You will play a critical part in handling patient specimens, ensuring accurate data entry, and supporting quality‑control processes that directly impact patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established protocols for specimen processing, identification, labeling, and data entry.
• Enter requisitions and results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform quality‑control checks and run required standards.
• Handle unsuitable samples according to protocol.
• Respond to client inquiries courteously and professionally.
• Assist with other laboratory duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Secondary‑school education plus a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program.
• Experience delivering professional, customer‑focused service in a fast‑changing environment.
• Ability to self‑manage, prioritize tasks, and collaborate within a high‑volume, time‑sensitive team.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Solid knowledge of laboratory procedures and troubleshooting skills.
