About the role
We are looking for a Specialty Foods Chef to lead the preparation of East Indian dishes at our Calgary location. The role involves creating new recipes, managing kitchen staff and ensuring high‑quality meals for regular service and special events.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
- Supervise specialist chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers.
- Create new recipes and plan menus.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and regular service.
- Ensure food meets quality standards and accommodates dietary restrictions.
Required profile
- Dependability and reliability.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
- Team player with attention to detail.
Required skills
