Space & Defense Systems Manager - Business Execution & Engineering Operations

About the role

ABB is hiring a Space & Defense Systems (SDS) Manager for its Measurement & Analytics division, reporting to the Head of Global Product Management & Marketing. The role leads the execution of the Space & Defense Systems business, delivering complex customer programs and mission-critical solutions for government and strategic commercial customers. It covers engineering execution, program delivery, contract operations, systems integration, supply chain coordination, quality, deployment and lifecycle support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the operational and financial performance of the Space & Defense Systems portfolio.
• Ensure safe, compliant, on-time and on-budget execution of complex customer programs and contracts.
• Drive engineering execution, program governance, risk management and operational excellence.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to support strategic growth and customer engagements.
• Build and develop a high-performing organization focused on customer outcomes and sustainable business results.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in Space, Defense, Government Technology, National Security or another highly regulated industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering execution, program management or contract delivery organizations accountable for business performance.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage executive stakeholders, strategic partners and customers.
