Drive Service Workshop Supervisor

About the role

A new Drive Service Supervisor position within ABB Motion Services in Milton, Ontario, is on-site and focuses on operational excellence, technical service delivery and stakeholder management. The supervisor oversees repair quoting, booking, quality assurance, team performance, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, ensuring all service activities meet ABB standards, safety policies and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workshop operations, including workload planning, scheduling, resource allocation and capacity management.
• Supervise, coach and develop service technicians while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Provide technical leadership for low-voltage drive diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and retro-fit activities.
• Ensure compliance with ABB quality standards, safety requirements and operational procedures.
• Manage customer communication, repair quotations, service updates and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor shop performance, KPIs, revenue and profitability.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve service quality, efficiency and business growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in workshop, repair, service or technical operations, including team leadership and hands-on experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) or low-voltage drives.
• Strong customer relationship, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• English required; French English bilingualism is an asset.

Required skills

• Experience using SAP and service management tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Expected annual salary of $75,300 to $110,440 depending on qualifications and experience, with bonus eligibility.
