Software Engineer I/II – Fixed Term (12 months)

About the role

BCI is seeking a Software Engineer (I or II) for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to design, build and deliver technology solutions that support its investment and business operations. The role will be based in the Victoria office and will work closely with developers, architects, analysts and business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software applications using .NET, C#, Python and modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban) and apply DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery.
• Support and troubleshoot solutions deployed in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Maintain source control, issue tracking and software lifecycle management tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or a related field.
• 1+ years of software development experience for a Software Engineer I or 5+ years for a Software Engineer II.
• Experience working in Agile environments and applying DevOps practices.
