Software Engineer (Full Stack)

About the role

Citylitics is looking for a highly motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale its AI‑driven platform that delivers predictive infrastructure intelligence across North America. The role is hybrid, based in Toronto, and focuses on creating robust backend APIs, dynamic front‑end experiences, and data‑driven models.

Key responsibilities

• Apply data‑modeling techniques to optimise databases and APIs.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
• Draft design documents and deliver technical demos to stakeholders.
• Sequence product behaviours across backend and frontend implementations with accurate complexity estimates.
• Produce clean, well‑tested, and documented code while reducing technical debt.
• Adopt new technologies and best practices to advance the codebase and business goals.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience building full‑stack web applications.
• Proficiency in defining data models, developing robust backend APIs, and integrating dynamic front‑ends.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for design documentation and stakeholder demos.
• Ability to design scalable, efficient systems and estimate implementation complexity.
