About the role
Join the CNN Content Platform team at Warner Bros. Discovery as a Software Developer II. You will help evolve a data‑driven, SaaS‑oriented editorial platform that powers global journalism, delivering modern, intuitive CMS experiences for fast‑paced newsrooms.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement complex UI components using modern JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Build and maintain scalable front‑end architecture with Node.js and NPM.
- Optimize page performance through caching strategies and bundling trade‑offs.
- Collaborate with back‑end teams to integrate relational and NoSQL data stores.
- Advocate for clean, testable code and participate in inclusive technical discussions.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience delivering production‑grade software alongside other engineers.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+), asynchronous patterns, and modern front‑end frameworks.
- Ability to write semantic HTML5, maintain scalable CSS3, and create responsive layouts without heavy frameworks.
- Understanding of when to use relational versus NoSQL databases.
