Skilled Carpenter – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our construction teams across various commercial, industrial, and residential projects in Calgary. The role involves hands‑on building, maintenance, and renovation work in noisy, dusty outdoor environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare labour and material cost estimates.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Lay out designs in compliance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and industrial wooden structures.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of carpentry experience in construction.
• Certificates: PPE training, Working at Heights, First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Arrest Protection, CSTS.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, lift heavy loads and work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Bondable with a clear criminal record check.
• Own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s licence.
