Site Superintendent – Vancouver

About the role

The Site Superintendent leads all on‑site construction activities for Buttcon projects in the Vancouver Lower Mainland. Reporting to the Director, Field, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead on‑site construction teams, including subcontractors and labour crews.
• Interpret subcontracts and ensure all parties understand the scope of work.
• Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and keep projects aligned with the detailed construction schedule.
• Provide weekly updates and maintain a six‑week look‑ahead plan.
• Lead weekly sub‑trade meetings and coordinate RFI responses.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with design, specifications, and industry standards.
• Enforce strict safety protocols to protect all site personnel.
• Track project expenses, review invoices, and control costs without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with procurement to secure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading construction teams on commercial, institutional or multi‑unit residential projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret design drawings, blueprints and subcontracts.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Effective communication and collaboration with project managers, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
