Site Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead retail and commercial construction projects in the Montreal area. The role involves overseeing all on‑site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor schedules and monitor timely execution of work.
• Implement and enforce health, safety and security procedures on the job site.
• Liaise with project managers, municipal building and permit authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site risk assessments and track progress against the detailed project plan.
• Ensure quality control, manage material purchases, and maintain accurate reporting and documentation.
• Resolve field issues, communicate updates to management, and oversee punch‑list completion.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail or commercial construction.
• Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building requirements and industry standards.
• Proven ability to lead teams, negotiate with subcontractors and manage budgets.
• Valid driver’s licence; travel to sites may be required.
