Signal Processing Engineer – Remote Vital Sign Monitoring

About the role

Norbert builds autonomous robots that deliver healthcare by capturing contact‑less vital signs and documenting them to the EMR. We are looking for a Signal Processing Engineer to develop and validate algorithms that extract clinical‑grade physiological signals from video streams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement signal‑processing algorithms for video‑based vital sign extraction (rPPG, rBP).
• Develop real‑time filtering, denoising, and feature‑extraction pipelines to achieve clinical accuracy.
• Build validation frameworks comparing video measurements against ECG, PPG, and BP reference devices.
• Integrate algorithms with the C++ computer‑vision pipeline and prototype in Python.

Required profile

• Master’s (or PhD) in Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience developing signal‑processing algorithms for medical or physiological sensing.
• Strong fundamentals in digital signal processing, statistical methods, and real‑time systems.

Required skills

• Python (prototyping) and C++ (production integration).
• Digital signal processing, spectral analysis, adaptive filtering, time‑domain methods.
• Physiological signal processing (radar, PPG, ECG, respiration, blood‑pressure).
• Experience with low‑SNR, low‑frequency signal extraction.
