Service Desk Technician

About the role

The Service Desk Technician provides first‑line technical support to VFX artists and production teams, both on‑site and remotely. You will install, configure, and maintain workstations, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure a stable, high‑performing environment for creative operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1‑2 technical support for workstations, network, peripherals, internal tools access, and software licensing.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents quickly to minimise impact on VFX production.
• Document tickets in the ITSM system, record unique solutions, track SLAs and escalate when required.
• Support infrastructure projects and help identify recurring issues.
• Assist IT technicians at other studio locations and train users on best practices.
• Prepare, configure and deploy Windows, Linux and macOS workstations for artists and technical departments.
• Install specialised software and verify pipeline compatibility.
• Maintain hardware inventory, including high‑performance GPUs and related components.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of technical needs in VFX environments (Windows, Linux, macOS, artistic pipelines, specialised tools).
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively under production pressure.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site five days a week to provide rapid intervention.
