Service Centre Supervisor – Afternoon Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Service Centre Supervisor for the afternoon shift to lead plant operations, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement. The role reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with maintenance, HR and broader leadership to deliver superior customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on leadership, coaching and mentoring of shift staff, handling employee relations and performance matters.
• Promote a proactive safety culture, conduct training, oversee accident prevention and ensure compliance with CHEP safety standards.
• Coordinate shift maintenance activities with the maintenance team to minimise equipment downtime.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality and cost‑effectiveness.
• Monitor operational costs, yield and productivity, collaborating with the Plant Manager to meet plant targets.
• Manage attendance, performance and HR‑related issues, and ensure adherence to CHEP procedures and work instructions.
• Oversee GRTW programs, claims management and compliance with SHE guidelines for internal and external customers and contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma.
• 5‑7 years of front‑line supervisory experience in production, manufacturing, logistics or customer service.
• Experience with formal safety programs and knowledge of regulatory environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and multi‑tasking abilities.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SAP, Kronos/UKG and CMMS.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
