Senior Tax Manager

About the role

Our client, a well‑established CPA firm in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead its private‑company and high‑net‑worth client portfolio. This position offers a realistic path to Principal or Partner within 1–2 years and combines technical tax work with leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private‑company and high‑net‑worth tax clients.
• Lead corporate and personal tax compliance engagements from start to finish.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services, including reorganizations, estate and succession planning, and owner‑manager strategies.
• Review complex tax returns, identify planning opportunities, and resolve intricate tax issues.
• Build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and coach junior tax professionals.
• Collaborate closely with Tax Partners on client engagements and practice development.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• Completion of the CPA In‑Depth Tax Course.
• 9+ years of Canadian public‑accounting tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of Canadian corporate and personal taxation.
• Proven experience leading client relationships and engagements end‑to‑end.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
