Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

Neo is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Tax group in Toronto. The role will focus on income tax compliance, tax reporting, and provision activities while supporting global tax projects across Neo’s international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare IFRS tax provisions for Canadian entities.
• Coordinate and review tax provisions for global sites in Asia, Europe, and the United States.
• Compile consolidated tax provision summaries and related IFRS reporting, including analysis of tax reserves, valuation allowances, and undistributed earnings.
• Prepare Canadian income tax returns, information returns, and related reports.
• Assist in managing the global tax compliance process and gather information for U.S. tax returns.
• Gather data and manage the preparation of transfer pricing reports and quarterly calculations.
• Prepare exempt surplus calculations.
• Communicate new tax developments internally and develop compliance processes.
• Respond to queries from internal, external, and government auditors.
• Support global tax planning, process improvement initiatives, and ad‑hoc tax matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Completed or pursuing a Canadian In‑Depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation program.
• Completed or pursuing a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CA).
• Three to five years of relevant tax experience.
