Senior Sales Engineer - Eastern Canada

About the role

Trellix, a global cybersecurity leader, is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join its Canadian team in Ottawa. You will be the primary technical resource for the sales team, acting as a trusted advisor who turns complex cybersecurity needs into architected solutions for commercial, enterprise and public sector customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions, qualify customer requirements and build use cases tailored to business constraints
• Own the technical response to RFIs and RFPs, coordinating virtual teams to deliver winning bids
• Lead Proof of Value (POV) engagements from start to finish
• Partner with Regional Sales Directors and SE Managers to refine sales strategy and build a healthy pipeline
• Maintain proactive relationships with target accounts, monitor customer health and manage competitive displacements
• Mentor junior SEs, give feedback to Product Management and support customer beta programs and executive briefings

Required profile

• Bilingual: professional fluency in English and French
• Currently residing in Canada
• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in pre-sales or high-level consulting
• Experience with Canadian government entities and their procurement and security standards
• Expert knowledge in at least one area: cloud/virtualization security, data protection, network security (web proxy/SD-WAN) or workload/container security
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, AWS, Azure or GCP

Preferred skills

• Significant familiarity with the McAfee/FireEye (Trellix) ecosystem
• Ability to communicate with executives and build trust with stakeholders from SOC analysts to CISOs
