Senior Project Manager – Multifamily Construction

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead multifamily construction projects from pre‑development through turnover and close‑out for Greystar in Toronto. The role focuses on pre‑construction leadership, managing third‑party partners and building subcontractor networks to support regional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all project phases, from pre‑development through turnover and close‑out.
• Collaborate with Development to define scope, schedule, budget and risk strategies.
• Provide early design input and conduct cost‑benefit and schedule analyses.
• Oversee general contractors to ensure safety, quality, budget and schedule compliance.
• Perform regular site visits, identify risks and resolve issues proactively.
• Lead value‑engineering and constructability reviews.
• Prepare bid packages, evaluate proposals, negotiate terms and execute contracts.
• Review and validate pay applications, change orders and cost forecasts.
• Ensure timely responses to submittals, RFIs and testing documentation.
• Promote Greystar’s safety culture and drive zero‑incident performance.
• Support subcontractor development and long‑term construction infrastructure planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multifamily construction projects.
• Strong ability to lead internal teams, consultants, general contractors and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost analysis, scheduling and risk management.
• Commitment to safety, quality and on‑time delivery.
