Technical Coordinator – Airport Infrastructure

About the role

Egis is seeking a Technical Coordinator to support a large‑scale airport infrastructure construction program in Toronto. The role bridges design consultants, construction joint ventures, and on‑site execution teams, focusing on shop drawings, material submittals, and technical compliance within an operational airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, logging, distribution, review, and tracking of shop drawings across all disciplines.
• Manage material submittal validation against technical specifications, approved vendor lists, and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate technical compliance reviews, flag deviations, and resolve issues through RFIs, NCRs, and change‑management processes.
• Maintain traceability of critical systems such as airfield ground lighting, MV/LV electrical systems, and ductbank installations.
• Provide daily technical coordination support, including submittal status updates, urgent reviews, inspection assistance, and installation verification.
• Update live dashboards and structured logs covering shop drawings, material approvals, RFIs, compliance risks, and construction readiness.

Required profile

• More than ten years of experience coordinating technical deliverables on complex infrastructure or airport projects.
• Strong exposure to multidisciplinary design integration and contractor interfaces.
• Proven ability to work in schedule‑driven construction environments with strict regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
