Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the full lifecycle delivery of capital or closure projects in Kitimat, BC, from initiation through execution and closeout. This fixed‑term position ensures projects meet business objectives while adhering to scope, cost, schedule, risk, and stakeholder expectations within an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects to approved scope, aligning with business goals.
• Manage cost, schedule, risk, and change throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and report performance indicators to satisfy governance requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with standards, specifications, and internal procedures.
• Implement and maintain a stakeholder engagement plan, building strong internal and external relationships.
• Provide technical support to project participants and decision‑makers.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and support teams to define and deliver requirements.
• Support vendor sourcing, selection, and performance management.
• Resolve project delivery issues promptly and effectively.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities for project delivery processes.
• Support lessons‑learned activities and project closeout.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering background preferred; mechanical engineering accepted.
• Extensive experience delivering capital or closure projects in industrial settings.
• Proven ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, risk, and change.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced operating environment.
• Residency in Kitimat, BC for the duration of the assignment.
