Electrical Apprentice – Level 3 & 4

About the role

Western Integrated is seeking Level 3 and Level 4 Electrical Apprentices to join its industrial automation team. This position offers hands‑on experience with complex electrical and control systems across sectors such as forestry, mining, manufacturing and materials handling.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems.
• Work with PLCs, HMIs and automation controls under the guidance of senior electricians.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Assist in commissioning and testing of new equipment.
• Mentor junior apprentices as you progress.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and best practices.

Required profile

• Registered Electrical Apprentice (Level 3 or 4) in British Columbia.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to job sites.
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 lb and wear required PPE.

Required skills

• PLC programming and operation.
• HMI configuration and use.
• Interpretation of electrical schematics.
• Reading of technical blueprints.
