Manufacturing Technician

About the role

JobDarkVision is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support its North Vancouver manufacturing operations. The role is hands‑on, focusing on electro‑mechanical assembly, testing and product validation for advanced acoustic‑based imaging platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate piezo‑electric transducers, perform micro‑soldering and molding tasks.
• Construct research apparatus, test platforms, jigs and core ultrasound probe products.
• Execute experiments and product validation, including testing in a heated pressure vessel up to 10,000 psi and 200 °C.
• Repair and refurbish ultrasonic scanning tools and replace components as needed.
• Maintain high quality standards by learning new technologies and ensuring assembled parts meet specifications.
• Measure incoming parts against mechanical drawings and perform quality‑control inspections.

Required profile

• Experience in product assembly or strong technical hobbies in mechanics or electronics.
• Proven soldering experience, including micro‑soldering.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands‑on experience assembling and disassembling components.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
