Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join the Maintenance Team at a world‑renowned Relais & Châteaux inn on Vancouver Island. As a Senior Maintenance Technician you will ensure the property’s facilities and guest areas are kept to the highest standards while delivering personalized service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance of guestrooms and public spaces, responding promptly to guest requests.
• Handle landscaping, general grounds work, and outdoor tasks in all weather conditions.
• Execute project work such as painting, carpentry, and equipment repairs.
• Maintain interior and exterior building elements, including preventative maintenance schedules.
• Service the inn’s bicycle fleet and manage furniture restoration and repair.
• Coordinate with other departments to uphold Relais & Châteaux and AAA Diamond standards.

Required profile

• Physically able to lift heavy items and work outdoors on short notice.
• Strong guest‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience in hotel or resort maintenance environments.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
