Senior HR Generalist – Onboarding & Training Specialist

About the role

Langford Staffing is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to manage day‑to‑day HR operations while leading company‑wide onboarding and employee training. The role requires an outgoing professional who can deliver engaging live sessions, translate policies into clear training materials, and support managers on HR matters.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver new‑hire orientation and foundational company training, creating presentations, facilitator guides, quizzes, scenarios, checklists and readiness assessments.
• Build and continuously improve structured training modules from policies, procedures and standards, using AI tools to research, draft and update content while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Manage onboarding, employee changes, probation tracking, leaves, attendance and off‑boarding, maintaining complete and confidential employee records.
• Support managers with employee‑relations issues, performance documentation, coaching, warnings and performance concerns.
• Prepare and present reports on onboarding, training, attendance, leaves, turnover and employee‑relations metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years delivering onboarding, policy or corrective training.
• Strong live facilitation, presentation and group‑training skills; confident, outgoing and engaging communication style.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, maintain discretion and recognize when escalation is needed.
• Full‑time availability during Ontario/Eastern Time business hours and a reliable remote workspace.

Required skills

• Proficiency in creating training materials: presentations, facilitator guides, assessments, quizzes and checklists.
• Practical experience using AI tools to support training development, research and content improvement, with the ability to review and validate AI‑generated material.
