Senior Fiserv DNA Developer / Integration Consultant

About the role

Aequilibrium, a Canadian technology consulting firm, is seeking experienced Canadian-based developers and integration consultants to support credit-union and financial-services projects involving Fiserv DNA. The role is remote and open to independent contractors, and focuses on connecting core banking capabilities with digital banking platforms, lending systems, CRM, payments and other third-party services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and support integrations between Fiserv DNA and third-party applications.
• Work with DNA APIs and interfaces such as DNAconnect, DNA Core API transactions and Communicator Open, depending on the client's environment.
• Translate banking requirements into technical designs, interface specifications and data mappings.
• Implement robust handling of authentication, authorization, validation, errors, retries, duplicate requests and transaction reconciliation.
• Develop or enhance DNAapps using DNAcreator where required.
• Create automated integration tests and support end-to-end, regression and business acceptance testing.
• Diagnose integration issues across DNA, middleware and connected systems, working with client teams and vendors.
• Support releases, upgrades, production readiness and technical handover, documenting dependencies, constraints and support procedures.

Required profile

• Demonstrable, hands-on development or integration experience with Fiserv DNA.
• Direct experience using DNA APIs or interfaces, able to explain the products, transactions and tools used.
• At least one DNA-related solution delivered or supported in a production financial-services environment.
• Understanding of banking concepts such as customers, accounts, deposits, lending, balances and transactions.
• Ability to build secure, reliable integrations involving sensitive financial information.
• Clear communication and collaboration with architects, business analysts, QA teams and vendor specialists.
• Based in Canada and able to work as an independent contractor.

Required skills

• API integration, structured data formats, database queries and troubleshooting across connected systems.
• Strong software development skills in the languages and frameworks used in DNA engagements.
• Preferred: DNAcreator, DNAapps or Fiserv App market development and validation experience; experience with multiple DNA versions, upgrades or core banking conversions; experience with digital banking, loan origination, CRM, payments or reporting platforms.
• Preferred: C#/.NET, SQL, Oracle/PLSQL, middleware, cloud platforms or CI/CD experience; previous delivery experience with Fiserv, a credit union, a core banking provider or a systems integrator.
