Senior Estimator

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Mississauga puts you in charge of end‑to‑end bid closes for projects ranging from $1M to $15M. You will evaluate tender packages, coordinate trade invitations, level quotes, resolve scope gaps and present defensible numbers to management and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, solicit and level trade quotes, and produce final bid numbers.
• Analyse drawings and specifications for design issues, buildability, schedule risk and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain the Master Tender List, ensuring trade coverage is up‑to‑date.
• Conduct pre‑bid meetings, site walks and subcontractor scope reviews.
• Report bid status and present cost estimates, including general and extraordinary conditions.
• Perform post‑bid analysis to compare estimates with actual outcomes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience on the general‑contractor side with full bid‑close ownership.
• Proficiency with a takeoff tool such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, On‑Screen Takeoff or Procore, and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications independently.
• Working knowledge of the GTA subcontractor market, Ontario pricing and CCDC contract forms.
• Experience with both ground‑up construction and fit‑out/renovation projects.
