Senior Embedded Linux / BSP Platform Engineer

About the role

Corinex is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux / BSP Platform Engineer to own the development of embedded Linux platforms for smart‑metering data concentrators and BPL proxy solutions. The role blends platform engineering with hands‑on product development across hardware bring‑up, bootloader, kernel, drivers, networking, security and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead board bring‑up, BSP development, Linux kernel, Device Tree, U‑Boot and device‑driver development.
• Develop and maintain embedded Linux platforms across multiple hardware products.
• Integrate embedded applications for smart metering, BPL communications and grid visibility solutions.
• Diagnose complex issues across bootloader, kernel, drivers, networking, security and application layers.
• Work with Ethernet, VLAN/bridge, routing, TCP/UDP, multicast and network management protocols.
• Maintain Yocto/OpenEmbedded/BitBake build environments and contribute to CI/CD and automated hardware validation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional embedded software development with strong Embedded Linux experience.
• Proficient in C programming and embedded application development.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux kernel, BSP, device drivers, U‑Boot and Device Tree.
• Proven board bring‑up and hardware/software integration skills.
• Strong hardware debugging using JTAG, GDB/OpenOCD, UART or equivalent.
